Terms of use

Terms of use – Allas Pool

  1. General conditions of sale

The clauses contained in these Customer Terms and Conditions are the terms and conditions of sale in a transaction between the Customer and Allas Pool, hereinafter also referred to as the Service Provider. By making payment for our services, the customer accepts these terms and conditions and undertakes to comply with them. The contract is concluded when the customer has made the payment and the service provider has confirmed it. The service provider will inform you of any changes to the terms and conditions of the customer contract before the change takes effect. Each online purchase of a customer relationship shall constitute a purchase confirmation.

  1. Single, series and membership wristbands for swimming are personal.

Swimming services are loaded onto the wristband at the pool ticket office. The wristband allows you to pass through the access control directly to the changing rooms without having to go to the ticket office.

The single, serial, monthly and membership tickets are personal and may not be given to another person. The staff is entitled to check that the single, series or season ticket and membership used by the customer is in the customer’s name. In the event of misuse, staff have the right to remove the customer from the Allas Pool area and cancel any remaining services or membership. Abuse may also result in a temporary ban from the premises. In cases of misuse, the membership fee is non-refundable.

  1. Products entitling you to supervised physical activity lessons

One-off and series products entitling you to guided exercise classes are loaded onto your wristband at the pool ticket office. It is also possible to download the products for guided classes purchased via the Allas Pool online shop directly onto the wristband during the online purchase, provided that the customer already owns a personal wristband.

  1. Period of validity

The wristband is a single-use ticket valid for 2 hours from the time of purchase.
The validity of both the serial ticket and the seasonal wristband starts from the immediate moment of purchase. The serial ticket is valid for 12 months.

  1. Use of services

The service purchased on the wristband can be used at Allas Pool during the period of validity of the service. If you change the service on the wristband to a more expensive service, we will charge an intermediate fee and a €10 handling fee.

  1. Payment

Allas Pool products can be purchased from the Allas Pool online shop and Allas Pool ticket sales, and on a case-by-case basis from the customer service and sales outlets of our partners.

In the online shop, payment can be made via Nets, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners.

Nets collects the IP address, the payment method and the time of payment in connection with the payment transaction.

For Allas Pool ticket sales, the payment methods are cash (euros), debit card, Visa, Mastercard, Diners, Amex, gift card, Smartum sports voucher or Smartum sports and culture voucher, Edenred Finland Oy’s Virike voucher and Ticket Duo, Ticket Mind & Body card and ePassport. With the Eazybreak Exercise Benefit you can only pay for your personal exercise services. Sports benefits and gift vouchers cannot be converted into cash and are non-refundable.

6.1 If a member fails to pay the membership fee by the due date, the member is liable to pay interest on arrears in accordance with Section 4 of the Interest Act (633/1982, as amended). In addition, late membership fees may be subject to collection costs.

  1. Holidays, public holidays and service breaks

We do not refund calendar holidays, nor do we refund individual days when the Allas Pool has been closed. We will announce opening days and schedules in advance on our website. For maintenance and similar breaks of more than one week, we will credit members for the duration of the break if the product cannot be used during the break. The credited time will be added to the wristband at the ticket office on the first visit after the break.

  1. Loss of the wristband

If you lose your wristband, please report it to Allas Pool Customer Service immediately. We can close the lost wristband and transfer the downloaded services to a new wristband. The cost of a new wristband is €10.

9. Gift card

When paying with a gift card, the gift card must be presented at the time of payment. The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash. The gift card is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

  1. Sickness cases, changes, changes in purchases and refunds

We will refund services in the event of extended illness, provided that the season ticket holder has a medical certificate of sick leave. In addition, we will refund memberships if the reason is a move of more than 50 km from Allas Pool. All refunds and changes or exchanges of services already purchased will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Refunds will not be made if the service has been paid for with sports vouchers or other benefits provided by the employer.

  1. Offers

Offers cannot be combined. The percentage or euro discount applies only to services at the normal price, not to services priced in a discount group or already discounted. Seasonal services, promotions and offers may have their own conditions of sale or a different period of validity in addition to the terms and conditions of the customer contract.

  1. Cancellation conditions

12.1 Cancellation conditions for courses, swimming schools and online shopping
If you do not attend the course or swim school you have purchased, you must cancel by telephone or e-mail. Courses and swim schools must be cancelled at least one week before the start of the course. A processing fee of €10 will be charged for cancellations of courses and swimming schools, regardless of whether the registration fee has been paid via the customer service or online shop. Cancellations of courses and swimming schools with less than one week’s notice will be charged at the full rate, except in cases of illness. A doctor’s, nurse’s or nurse’s certificate is required for cancelled courses, swimming schools or online purchases due to illness.

12.2 Cancellation conditions for guided lessons and online purchases

If you do not attend a guided lesson you have purchased, cancellation must be made either by telephone or email. You can cancel your participation in a guided lesson at least 24 hours before the start of the lesson in question. If a group lesson is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, we will charge the client the full price of the lesson, except in cases of illness. A doctor’s certificate is required for cancelled classes, swimming lessons or online purchases due to illness.

12.3 Cancellation conditions for sporting event tickets

If you are unable to attend a sports event organised by the pool, you must cancel by phone or email. Cancellations must be made at least one week before the start of the event. Cancellations received with less than one week’s notice will be charged at the full rate, except in cases of illness. A doctor’s certificate is required for cancelled courses, swimming lessons or online purchases due to illness.

The service provider has the right to cancel the customer’s booking if the service (course, swimming school, guided class or event) has to be cancelled due to low enrolment or other force majeure. In this case, the customer will receive a full refund or an exchange for another service of equal value from the same provider.

The services offered for sale in the online shop are subject to our general terms and conditions for online sales. Unused single, serial, seasonal or membership services purchased from our online shop do not have a right of withdrawal based on Chapter 6, Section 16 (paragraph 11) of the Consumer Protection Act.

13. Complaint cases

In case of complaints, please contact us by e-mail:
esimiehet@allaspool.fi
All complaints and disputes are governed by Finnish law.

14. Age limits

Customers of all ages are welcome, but swimming ability is an absolute requirement for children coming to swim alone. Children without swimming skills may only enter the swimming pool area with a person who is 16 years of age or older and who is able to swim. Parents or adults accompanying the child are responsible for the children.

Unaccompanied children under 12 years of age must have a parent or guardian’s signed permission. The permit must include the parent’s contact information, and a written promise that the child is able to swim. If necessary, a 25-metre swim test can be carried out by the lifeguards to check the swimming ability of a child who comes to swim without a parent.

Swimming in a large pool requires a minimum of 25 m swimming ability. Swimming in a saltwater pool requires a swimming ability of 25 metres, with particular attention being paid to the coldness of the water in open water conditions.
